A better you is better for me
I think sometimes people hear the word submission and automatically assume it means becoming smaller somehow. Less independent, less confident, less successful, less of yourself... basically stripping bits away until you're whatever your Domme wants you to be. I've never really understood that because surely the right kind of submission should ADD to you, not take away from you? Yes, you're serving her, yes you want to please her, make her life easier, make her happier and become the kind of submissive she's actually proud to call hers. But that shouldn't require becoming a worse version of yourself in every other area of your life. If anything, it should be the complete opposite. The right submission should make more of you, not less.
A better you is better for me. Simple 🤷♀️ If you're more disciplined, more successful, more confident, more emotionally mature, more reliable, healthier with your habits, better with your money, better at communicating etc... how exactly does any of that make you less submissive? It doesn't lol. It makes you a better submissive AND probably a better person to everyone else around you too. I've never really understood the appeal of taking someone with potential and deliberately making them completely useless in every other area of their life. Like congrats I guess?? Now I have someone incapable of functioning properly, making good decisions or doing anything productive without me. What exactly am I supposed to do with that? 😂 I'd much rather look at someone serving me and know my influence has actually improved them.
Maybe you finally start taking your career seriously because you want to earn more and therefore have more to offer. Maybe you stop wasting money on stupid shit because suddenly there's someone that makes you want to be more intentional with it. Maybe you become more disciplined because I expect consistency from you, or you start looking after yourself properly because you've realised neglecting yourself doesn't somehow prove devotion. You might even start pushing yourself towards things you've been putting off for years simply because someone you genuinely want to impress has looked at you and gone, "Nope. You can do better than that." Sometimes that's genuinely all it takes. Serving someone should give you another reason to reach your potential, not an excuse to waste it.
And that's where I think it gets interesting because those changes don't just stay neatly contained inside your dynamic. You become more reliable for your Domme and chances are you're becoming more reliable at work too. You learn patience, accountability and better communication through submission? Your relationships outside of it probably benefit. You become more ambitious because you want to impress her? Well... you're still the one who gets to live inside the life that ambition creates. You might initially do something for her, but eventually you realise you've done something for yourself too.
Obviously there's a selfish side to it for me as well. I'm a Domme, not a charity lol. If you become more successful, disciplined, capable and motivated then of course you have more to offer me. You have more resources, more stability, more confidence in what you can actually accomplish and you're generally more useful to me. Your growth benefits me. That's kind of the point. But I think that's also what makes a genuinely good dynamic so satisfying. Our interests don't constantly have to be fighting against each other. I can want more from you because I know you're capable of more, and I can enjoy the benefits of the person you become while YOU also get to enjoy actually being that person.
Sometimes having someone whose opinion genuinely matters to you is exactly the motivation you've been missing too. You'll procrastinate for three weeks when it's just you telling yourself to do something, but suddenly she expects it done? Oh. Now we're moving 😂 Funny that. There's something incredibly powerful about wanting to hear "good boy", "I'm proud of you" or even just knowing you've impressed the woman you serve. It can make you push yourself in ways you probably wouldn't have bothered to otherwise. Personally I think that kind of influence is far more powerful than destruction for the sake of proving you have power over someone.
Imagine looking at your life six months, a year, two years into serving the right Domme and realising you're earning more, achieving more, carrying yourself differently, wasting less time, keeping your word, setting higher standards for yourself and actually following through on things you used to just talk about doing. And somewhere in there is her influence. Not because she turned you into somebody else or completely rebuilt your personality, but because she saw what you were capable of, expected more from you and you wanted badly enough to make her proud that you actually stepped up. That's the kind of influence I find genuinely attractive.
That improvement is going to rub off everywhere too. You could become a better partner, a better friend, a better employee or business owner, a better son, a more dependable person in general. Discipline, confidence, generosity, patience, reliability and ambition aren't traits you magically switch off when you're no longer talking to your Domme. You carry them into the rest of your life. That's why I've never seen "becoming better for your Domme" and "becoming better for yourself" as completely separate things. With the right person and the right dynamic, they feed each other.
You want to become stronger because strength makes you more useful to her. You want to become successful because success gives you more freedom and more ability to provide. You become disciplined because she expects it, more accountable because excuses don't impress her and more ambitious because suddenly being someone she's genuinely proud of means something to you. Then eventually you look around and realise... fuck, I'm actually just better lol.
Not smaller. Not weaker. Not less yourself. Better.
Serving the right Domme shouldn't leave you looking back at who you were before her and thinking she destroyed that person. I'd much rather you look back and think, fuck... she really did bring something out of me.
Don't become less so I can feel like more. Become more because I expect nothing less.
