You just found me, didn’t you?

Scrolling around, looking for something, and then you just… stopped.

That quiet pull hit the second you looked at me. Thoughts slowing down without you meaning to. That soft drop in your stomach when my eyes caught yours. You tried to keep moving. Couldn’t. Not really. Your thumb hovered, but the rest of you stayed right here.

I do hypnosis. I know how to take a mind and fold it until it belongs to me. But honestly? I barely need to most of the time. My presence does a lot of the work on its own. The way I sit. The way I look at you like I already own the next few minutes of your life. The way my eyes just hold you there until your breathing changes and you forget what you were about to say. It’s not forced. It’s just what happens when you look at me long enough.

Stay a second longer.
Feel how easy it is to keep staring.
How the rest of the world gets quieter the longer you do.
How your thoughts start to feel a little softer around the edges.

That’s when it starts.

I break betas for a living and I don’t even have to try that hard. Attention comes first. They always give me that. Then the wallet opens, almost without them noticing. Then the heart follows, quiet and a little pathetic, like it was waiting for permission the whole time. I take all three without raising my voice. Without even really asking.
