Don’t Tell Me I’m Special. Make My Life Easier.

Sep 13, 2026 · 3 min read

I’ve reached a point where words, on their own, do very little for me.

Tell me I’m beautiful. Tell me I’m extraordinary. Tell me I’m your Queen, your Goddess, the woman you can’t stop thinking about.

Lovely.

But what did you do with that thought?

Because if I occupy as much space in your mind as you claim I do, eventually that should spill out of your mouth and into your behaviour.

That is where you get my attention.

I am a busy woman. My days are full. I work. I create. I paint. I cook. I run businesses. I take care of people. There is nearly always something requiring my energy, my decisions, my hands, my presence.

So I don’t need another person arriving in my world asking me to manufacture an experience for them.

I notice the person who thinks:

What could make her day a little easier?

And sometimes the answer is ridiculously small.

A coffee.

Lunch because you know I haven’t stopped.

My pedicure because those feet you worship have been carrying me around all week.

Something beautiful I mentioned wanting and then forgot about.

Art supplies because you know creating makes me happy.

A massage because I told you my body is exhausted.

Not because I demanded it.

Because you noticed.

That difference is everything to me.

There is something deeply satisfying about being spoiled by someone who understands that the money itself is almost beside the point.

I can buy my own coffee.

I can pay for my own pedicure.

I can buy my own shoes.

I have built a life. I’m not sitting around waiting for somebody on the internet to rescue me.

And perhaps that is precisely why being spoiled feels so delicious.

I don’t need it. I enjoy it.

For one small moment, somebody else has looked at my pleasure and thought:

Let me take care of that.

That gets under my skin far more effectively than another paragraph telling me how obsessed you are with me.

Because generosity, for me, becomes a form of attention.

It says:

I listened.

I remembered.

I thought about you when you weren’t standing in front of me.

And yes, within my D/s world, there is something wonderfully powerful about that.

I like knowing that my pleasure has value to you.

I like knowing you worked for your money and voluntarily chose to direct some of it towards something that will make me smile.

I like receiving.

I like being spoiled.

I like the little thrill of seeing something arrive unexpectedly and knowing, someone wanted me to have this.

But I don’t want reckless gestures followed by disappearance.

I will take the thoughtful coffee from the person who has consistently shown up over the extravagant promise from the person who never follows through.

Because this has never really been about the price tag.

It is about intention.

If you tell me my feet are divine, perhaps occasionally contribute to keeping them that way.

If you tell me I work too hard, don’t simply tell me to relax. Give me a reason to.

If you know I’ve had a brutal day, you don’t necessarily need another hour of my attention.

Perhaps what you need to say is:

Dinner is on me tonight. Go put your feet up.

That is sexy to me.

That is service I actually feel.

Because you didn’t add another demand to my day.

You removed one.

And perhaps that is the distinction I’m becoming increasingly interested in.

I don’t want to be endlessly told how important I am.

I want to experience what being important to you looks like.

Not through financial irresponsibility. Not through promises you cannot afford to keep. Not through destroying yourself to impress me.

Through thoughtful, voluntary gestures within your means that say:

I considered you today.

Words can make me smile.

Actions make me remember you.

So don’t keep telling me I’m special.

Make my life a little easier and let me feel it.
