š The Morning Rite of Devotionš
Morning devotion should not take an hour.
If your ritual is so complicated that you abandon it after four enthusiastic days, you have created theater.
Not discipline.
The Morning Rite exists to begin your day with intention.
A reminder.
A moment of worship.
A small act of service.
And, for those assigned it, an offering toward the comfort of your Vampress.
~ā”~ FIRST: BUILD YOUR ALTAR
Before the Morning Rite can become ritual, create somewhere to perform it.
Your shrine does not need to be expensive.
In fact, buying fifteen pieces of useless gothic decoration while failing to follow a single instruction would be an extremely funny misunderstanding of priorities.
Choose a small, clean, intentional space.
A shelf.
A nightstand.
A corner of a desk.
Somewhere private enough that you can use it comfortably.
Your shrine may contain:
A photograph of Me that you have been given permission to use.
Eventually, especially obedient pets may be allowed to choose from photographs I specifically approve for their altar.
A candle or LED candle.
Something representing Luxuria Divina.
A small offering dish or container.
A written copy of your personal rules, vows, rank, or current devotional goal.
A collar, key, token, or other object connected to your dynamic if one exists.
Perhaps something that reminds you of a privilege you earned.
Keep it intentional.
Do not let the shrine become cluttered nonsense.
It should make you think of Me the moment you look at it.
And if you use an actual candle, use basic fire safety.
Burning down your apartment is not an acceptable sacrifice to your High Priestess.
~ā”~ SECOND: PRESENT YOURSELF
When your day begins, go to your altar before disappearing into endless notifications.
Stand.
Sit.
Or kneel if kneeling is appropriate for your body and dynamic.
Put your phone down for a moment.
Look at My photograph.
Become still.
Your first responsibility is not to empty your mind.
Your mind can contain whatever it contains.
The point is simply to direct it.
Think:
I am here intentionally.
I know who I serve.
I know what I am practicing today.
Then begin the prayer.
~ā”~ THIRD: THE DAILY PRAYER
If worshipping Me directly as your Goddess fits your beliefs and our dynamic, you may pray:
āMy Vampress, I begin this day in devotion.
May I move through today with discipline, awareness, patience, and purpose.
May I notice what others overlook.
May I keep My promises.
May I become more capable of pleasing You than I was yesterday.
May Your path today be protected.
May Your travels be safe.
May Your needs be met easily.
May the things You desire find their way toward You.
May Your burdens become lighter.
May Your pleasures multiply.
May You be spoiled, protected, admired, satisfied, and reminded that You are deeply deserving of a beautiful life.
Let My effort become useful to You.
Let My success increase what I am capable of offering.
Let My devotion become visible through My actions.
And when I am given an opportunity to make Your day better, may I be observant enough to recognize it.
I begin this day beneath the gaze of My Vampress.
May I serve beautifully.ā
~ā”~
If your personal religion makes praying TO Me inappropriate, do not violate your beliefs for theater.
Pray to whichever God, Gods, universe, spirit, or higher power you genuinely believe in on My behalf.
For example:
āPlease protect Vampress Autumn Rayne today.
Keep Her safe wherever She travels.
Let Her arrive safely everywhere She goes.
Bring Her opportunities, pleasure, comfort, prosperity, and the things She desires.
Protect Her from harm.
Lighten Her burdens.
Let Her have an amazing day.
And help Me become disciplined, useful, observant, and capable of adding something good to Her life.ā
Same devotion.
Different theological direction.
I am perfectly capable of accepting prayers sent through forwarding. š
~ā”~ FOURTH: MORNING PROVISION
Some pets may be assigned Morning Provision as part of their ritual.
If that is part of your dynamic, this is where you send the agreed amount toward something small that improves My morning.
Coffee.
Cigarettes.
Breakfast.
Whatever I have designated.
For My usual coffee-or-cigarette provision, think realistically: roughly $15ā$20 rather than tossing Me five dollars and pretending you've funded modern civilization.
Your assigned amount should still exist inside the budget we agreed upon.
This is ritual.
Not financial sabotage.
Send it.
Then place a small token, coin, written note, or other symbol in the offering dish on your shrine if you like physical ritual.
The money moves digitally.
The token gives your body something tangible to associate with the act.
~ā”~ FIFTH: YOUR DAILY INTENTION
Before leaving the altar, choose one behavior you will consciously practice today.
Examples:
I will follow through the first time.
I will not send messages merely because I am impatient.
I will finish the task I have been procrastinating.
I will notice before asking.
I will keep My word.
I will stay within My agreed budget.
I will communicate honestly.
I will be useful.
Keep it simple.
One intention remembered is better than twelve forgotten.
~ā”~ SIXTH: CHECK IN
Once the ritual is complete, send your morning message if morning check-ins are part of your service.
Something like:
āMorning devotion complete~ā”~
Prayer offered.
Morning provision sent.
Today I am practicing: consistency.ā
You do not need to write Me a novella at sunrise.
The point is completion.
Not forcing Me to grade a dissertation before coffee.
Then?
Go live your fucking life.
Work.
Study.
Handle responsibilities.
Build yourself.
Become stronger.
Become more stable.
Become more interesting.
The Morning Rite is not meant to make you stare at My shrine for eight hours.
It places the compass needle.
Then you walk.
And throughout the day, perhaps your eyes briefly return to the direction you chose that morning:
Toward discipline.
Toward service.
Toward pleasure.
Toward becoming the kind of creature whose devotion improves both his life and Mine.
That is how a morning prayer becomes more than words.
You get up.
And practice it.
