Attention Is Easy. Intention Is Rarer.

Attention has never impressed me much.

Anyone can stare. Anyone can send a message. Anyone can say the right thing when they think there might be something waiting for them on the other side of it.

That’s easy.

Intention is different.

It’s in the man who pays attention before asking to be noticed. The one who catches the small things. Who doesn’t need to be handed instructions for every move because he understands that initiative tells me far more than obedience ever could.

I’m not interested in being the loudest woman in the room.

I’d rather be the one you keep thinking about after you’ve left it.

And perhaps that’s the part you should understand about me.

I don’t need your attention.

I’m curious about what you’ll do with mine.

There’s a difference.
