Take Me Away, Because I Asked ✈️

There’s something incredibly indulgent about being able to look at my sub and casually say:

“I want to go away.”

And instead of hearing a list of reasons why it isn't practical, they simply start thinking about where we're going. 👑

I don't need a special occasion.

I don't need an anniversary.

I don't need to justify why I want a change of scenery.

Maybe I woke up craving sunshine.

Maybe I want a beautiful hotel.

Maybe I want to spend a weekend somewhere I've never been.

Maybe I simply saw a destination online and thought, “That looks lovely. I want to go there.”

That's enough.

My favorite kind of energy is the one that understands that part of the pleasure is making the experience happen.

You handle the planning.

You look at the flights.

You find the hotel.

You arrange the little details.

And I get to enjoy choosing what I'm going to wear, where I want to eat, what I'm going to see, and how I'm going to spend my time.

Maybe I send you three hotel options.

You handle the booking.

Maybe I find the perfect room and decide that's the one I want.

You make it happen.

Maybe I suddenly decide I want to extend the trip by another night.

We work it into the agreed budget.

And while you're watching reservations and confirmations appear on your screen, I'm already imagining myself there.

The airport.

The hotel lobby.

The first dinner.

A beautiful view outside the window.

A slow morning with coffee.

An afternoon wandering around somewhere new.

A little shopping.

A sunset.

And underneath all of it, that satisfying knowledge that you helped create the entire experience.

That's the part I find so appealing about being taken care of.

It's not simply paying for a plane ticket.

It's knowing that your generosity became a memory.

A place I got to see.

A meal I got to enjoy.

A weekend I wouldn't have otherwise planned.

Something I can look back on and know:

“You made this happen.”

Of course, the fun is also in the dynamic we create around it. We agree on the budget beforehand, make sure everything is genuinely affordable, and then I get to be the one deciding what kind of adventure I want.

And perhaps the most delicious sentence of all is still the simplest:

“Pack a bag. We're going away.”

Because sometimes I don't want a reason.

I don't want a complicated plan.

I just want to be spoiled.

And if being my sub means occasionally turning one of my spontaneous ideas into a beautiful trip?

Well…
