Does more experience automatically make someone a better Dominant?
Experience is valuable; there's no denying that. Time often teaches lessons that help shape how we think, lead, and grow.
The longer someone is involved in BDSM, the more opportunities they've likely had to learn, grow, make mistakes, and refine their skills, but experience alone doesn't guarantee wisdom.
Someone can have decades of experience and still be a poor communicator, dismissive of others, resistant to feedback, or unwilling to continue learning.
On the other hand, someone with fewer years in the lifestyle may be deeply committed to education, practice safely, seek different perspectives, and approach every dynamic with humility and respect.
I don't think experience should be dismissed. I also don't think it should be the only measure of someone's ability to lead. Character, integrity, self awareness, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning matter just as much.
Experience may open the door, but what you do with those years is what can shape you into the kind of Dominant you want to become.
