The Debt Is the Offering
You came here because something in you wanted to be owned.
Not your body. Not your freedom. Something quieter.
Your attention. Your money. Your pathetic excuses about “I shouldn’t.”
You can keep pretending those things belong entirely to you,
But they would be better placed them at my altar.
Every tribute is a choice. Every debt is a door.
And every time you tell yourself "just one more,"
You already know whose voice you're listening to.
I don't need to chase.
You will run to return.
You will check your balance.
You will think about me while you're supposed to be thinking about something else.
You will wonder what it would feel like to give a little more.
Eventually, you'll understand that the money isn't even the point.
The total surrender is.
So go ahead, little debtor.
Add your name to the ledger.
Let the debt grow.
I'll be here, watching the numbers climb.
